Benefits to KTGA Members

Kerala Textiles and Garment Dealers Welfare Association (KTGA) which is the one and only one organization representing the textile and garment retailers/wholesalers of Kerala state having a membership of over 30000 (thirty thousand) dealers. KTGA follows a three-tier structure with Zone as the basic unit followed by district and State level Units.

Following are the benefits provided to members by K T G A :

  • Act as a State Forum to represent Textile Dealers at State and Central Government level and also at local self government level.
  • Settle common complaints of members related to textile trade and give letters/ representations to Government at state and Central Level.
  • Promote friendship and cooperation among traders engaged in the textile and readymade garment trade; to work for the growth and development of such business establishments; and to protect the interests of the members.
  • Formulate views relating to the trade, represent the members of the Association, and, within the provisions of the Societies Registration Act, work with the Central and State Governments, other Government and semi-Government institutions, local authorities, individuals, and organizations to address the needs and grievances of traders engaged in such trade.
  • Publish journals, newsletters, magazines, or other public publications relating to the trade.
  • Establish and maintain libraries and information centres as may be necessary for protecting the interests of traders engaged in such trade.
  • Endeavour to settle disputes and differences among members, and between members and others, within the framework of the law.
  • Provide members with necessary legal advice and assistance in matters relating to disputes and legal proceedings.
  • Organize exhibitions, trade fairs, and similar events for the promotion and development of the industry.
  • Organize trade and study tours for members within India and abroad, and to nominate or send representatives to trade fairs and exhibitions held in India or overseas.
  • Undertake economic research and surveys and to represent members before appropriate authorities and public bodies.
  • Provide members with such assistance as may be necessary for the efficient conduct of their business and to encourage healthy competition among member establishments.
  • Undertake, from time to time, any lawful activities not specifically mentioned herein but considered necessary or conducive to the overall growth, development, welfare, and advancement of the member establishments and their members.
